SoftEther VPN is a free open-source, cross-platform, multi-protocol VPN solution developed as part of Daiyuu Nobori’s master’s thesis research at the University of Tsukuba. SoftEther VPN is not only an alternative VPN server to existing VPN products. VPN protocols such as SSL VPN, L2TP/IPsec, OpenVPN, and Microsoft Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol are provided in a single VPN server. It was released using the GPLv2 license on January 4, 2014. SoftEther VPN is open source. You can use SoftEther for any personal or commercial use for free charge. You can integrate from OpenVPN to SoftEther VPN smoothly. SoftEther VPN is faster than OpenVPN. SoftEther VPN also supports Microsoft SSTP VPN for Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10.
